People of Destiny is a faith-inspired nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through compassionate service, meaningful opportunity, and lasting support. Guided by timeless Islamic values, we work to ensure that every person is treated with dignity, respect, and hope.
Our Story
Building Upon a Legacy
Creating a Future of Service
People of Destiny was officially incorporated as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in January 2026, establishing a new chapter in community service while building upon a legacy that has served Camden for more than four decades.
Our organization was born from the outreach and charitable work of The Quba School and Islamic Center, one of New Jersey’s oldest continuously operating Islamic institutions. For generations, the Quba community has quietly served neighbors through food assistance, youth mentorship, family support, and education.
As community needs evolved, so did our vision. People of Destiny was established to expand that tradition of service into a comprehensive nonprofit organization capable of addressing today’s most pressing social challenges including employment, workforce readiness, housing stability, behavioral health, youth development, family services, and humanitarian assistance.

At People of Destiny, we believe lasting change begins by recognizing the inherent dignity of every human being.
We understand that challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, mental health struggles, food insecurity, and family instability are often interconnected. Rather than addressing problems in isolation, we take a whole-person approach connecting individuals and families with coordinated services that promote long-term wellness and independence.
